VOLUMINEX presented at the Foundations of Nanoscience conference in Munich
KTH VOLUMINEX team member Joel Spratt attended the Foundations of Nanoscience annual conference in Munich, Germany. On March 18, Joel presented his poster titled “Growing DNA Polonies in 3-D Gels Using Bridge PCR”, which describes the protocols developed in VOLUMINEX for bridge PCR inside 3-D polyacrylamide gels.
The Foundations of Nanoscience conference is the top international conference for all things related to DNA nanotechnology, featuring the latest in nanostructure design and development from the field’s biggest names. Sequencing-based microscopy, which is the subfield in which VOLUMINEX sits, had a small but important presence and Joel’s work attracted some interested conference attendees.
“It was great to bounce ideas around and see how our project fits into the bigger nanotech ecosystem, ” Joel says. “And it was great to visit Munich as well!”
