About VOLUMINEX

Spatial mapping of biomolecules in tissues is key to understanding everything from fundamental biology to applications in health and disease.

From March 2025 to February 2030, the VOLUMINEX project brings together experts in life sciences, sequence-based microscopy and theoreticians from Sweden, The Netherlands and France. Funded by the European Innovation Council’s (EIC) Pathfinder Open programme, this multidisciplinary team aims to kick off a new era of molecular imaging where comprehensive spatial and transcriptomic data is accessible, affordable and 3-dimensional.

The VOLUMINEX consortium is coordinated by KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), and includes Karolinska Institute (Sweden), Single Technologies AB (Sweden), Princess Maxima Center for Paediatric Oncology (Netherlands) and Sorbonne University (France).
